Qualifying Social Work Credentials

The Alberta College of Social Work (ACSW) recognizes Diploma, Bachelor, and Master social work credentials from the following accredited social work programs in the Province of Alberta, the rest of Canada and the United States to qualify for registration. Individuals with social work education outside of Canada and the USA should refer to the Internationally Educated page.

Pre-Accreditation Candidacy Programs

The candidacy period is for a minimum of two graduating cohorts while the program proceeds through the Alberta social work diploma program accreditation process. Graduates are qualified for registration with ACSW.

An accredited institution hosts another institution offering their accredited social work diploma program for a set period of time at an agreed upon location.
